System Requirements

  • Linux or macOS. On Linux, we recommend Ubuntu 22.04 or newer.

  • VS Code needs to be installed.

Windows (WSL)

The Xronos extension requires Linux or macOS but can be used on Windows through the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

  1. Install WSL by following the official instructions. We recommend using Ubuntu 22.04 or newer as the distribution.

  2. Install VS Code on Windows and add the WSL extension.

  3. Connect VS Code to your WSL environment by opening the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P), typing WSL: Connect to WSL, and selecting the entry.

  4. Once connected, install the Xronos extension as described below. The extension will be installed inside the WSL environment.

Installing the Xronos Extension

Start VS Code and open the marketplace using View ‣ Extensions. Type “Xronos” into the search field and then click the Install button next to the Xronos extension.
